Sophie — wed to Lord Frederick Windsor, son of the Queen’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent — said the royal family’s kindness aided her recovery.
The former Peep Show star’s car was struck by another vehicle in Cambridgeshire in November, throwing it into the air.
She suffered injuries including a broken back which left her without feeling in her legs for three days.
The mum of two — half-sister of Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman — said: “I did expect to die. I felt a strange serenity . . . like my soul was rising up.”
She said Prince Charles got his chef to make her meals for weeks, adding: “I heard from pretty much every member of Freddie’s family, I was spoiled to bits by them.”
