A woman performed sex acts with a man inside a California public library for a porn video – and outraged residents want authorities to throw the book at those involved, according to reports.

The video was shot recently on Santa Monica streets, including outside an elementary school, where the woman exposed herself before heading to the Ocean Park branch of the library during business hours, CBS Los Angeles reported.

“God forbid, a child walked in the library and walked right in on the middle of it. That’s my biggest concern,” resident Janet McLaughlin told the news outlet. “Children don’t need to be exposed to this. If you want to do porn, stick to the hotels.”

The raunchy footage was uploaded to a porn website that pays per click, the station said.

Another resident called the stunt “wrong, it’s completely wrong.”

“It’s a public place, a library where there are children. How will the city or people allow that?” Felipe Herrador told NBC Los Angeles.

“I hope they catch them and that they go to jail,” a third person told the station.

Attorney Luis Carrillo told the outlet that performing and recording such activities in a public place can land those involved in legal trouble.

“If a person is found to have committed that crime, the punishment may include, apart from jail, registering as a sex offender,” Carrillo told the NBC affiliate.

The video has since been yanked from the adult website.

The city said police are investigating.

“This video is deeply disturbing,” the city said in a statement. “Lewd acts in the public library are a violation of library rules and against the law. Staff did not have knowledge of the incident when it took place.”
