STEVEN Spielberg's porn star daughter Mikaela says that sex work allows her to do "what I want when I want" as she celebrates her X-rated career.

The daughter of Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw has opened up about how she's working to de-stigmatize sex work in an interview with Hollywood Life.

Mikaela is speaking out on how her work empowers her, after The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year that the director's daughter, 24, launched her career in the adult entertainment industry.

“[My work] helped me meet my basic needs without kneeling to the ugliness of a job that puts me at strict corporate mercy,” she told Hollywood Life.

Mikaela recently partnered with ManyVids to take a new approach to her adult entertainment career.

She said working with the brand gives a space for "sex workers to feel empowered" and "express themselves."

"I’m able to work for myself and do what I want, when I want, on my own terms,” she said of the freedom of her career.

Mikaela said she was drawn to ManyVids because of co-founder and CEO Bella French's standards and efforts to de-stigmatize sex work.

She said ManyVids gives "a judgment-free space for sex workers like myself to become independently successful."

Although her father is known for directing blockbuster films including E.T., Jaws, and Schindler's List, Mikaela said traditional films "don't interest me."

"I just want to illustrate and paint without worrying about finances," she told Hollywood Life.

Mikaela's parents were reportedly initially "shocked" when they learned of her career.

The 24-year-old previously told The Sun that her parents support her, however.

"My safety has always been a number one priority for them," she said.

In a second interview with The Sun, Mikaela said her parents "expected" her career and are actually "relieved."

"My parents – despite what people have written – aren't embarrassed, they were actually kind of expecting it to be my career… some sort of outsider art… or taboo art, because they've always known that I was a little bit neurotic," she told The Sun.

As she initially revealed her work in the adult entertainment industry, Mikaela said she would love to work as a dancer in a strip club.

"This is a positive, empowering choice, I realized there is no shame in having a fascination with this industry and wanting to do something that is safe, sane, consensual," she said.

Just before her second interview with The Sun, Mikaela was arrested on a domestic violence charge against ex-fiance Chuck Pankow, 51.

The charge was later dismissed, The Daily Mail reported.
