- Teenager sustained ‘life-threatening injuries’ after reports of shooting in Bury
- He was reportedly treated at the scene before being rushed to nearby hospital

A teenage boy has been left fighting for his life after he was shot in the street in Greater Manchester.
Police were called to the scene in Bury at 9.35pm last night to reports of shots fired.
A young man was rushed to hospital with ‘life-threatening injuries’ after the incident, Greater Manchester Police said.
The scene was sealed off by officers, who last night attended the incident alongside a tactical aid unit car.

No arrests have been made and police said a ‘large high-visibility police presence’ will remain in the area.
One witness told the Bury Times a shooting had taken place and a teenager was left ‘seriously injured.’
It is understood the boy, whose age is unknown, was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

‘Officers were called shortly after 9.35pm this evening, Wednesday, to reports of shots fired on Chesham Road.

‘A scene is in place and a large high-visibility police presence will remain in the area.’
