Uni chiefs have been branded “insane” for saying white people should be able to identify as black.

It means white snowflakes could be able to copy Ali G and ask: “Is it because I am black?”

The Universities and Colleges Union believes people should be free to choose their gender and their race.

The body – which represents 120,000 UK academics – set out its stance in a report on whether men should be able to self-identify as women and be treated as female regardless of their anatomy.

The union went further, saying it believed race should also be a choice.

It said: “Our rules commit us to ending all forms of discrimination, bigotry and stereotyping.

And This Morning host Piers Morgan said: “Who will stop this insanity?’’

One Twitter user said: “I identify as the Queen and demand current royal family evicted from my house.’’

Another tweeted: “I’m fat but identity as skinny. I’m transfat.’’
