Season 8 of TLC’s hit reality show 90 Day Fiancé was one of the most dramatic ever! While fans were introduced to new couples Yara and Jovi, Brandon and Julia, Stephanie and Ryan, and Amira and Andrew this season, viewers were undoubtedly excited to see their favorite former 90 Day couples – like Tarik and Hazel, Rebecca and Zied, and Mike and Natalie – continue their relationships on-screen (via Us Weekly).
It’s no secret that all of the couples had their fair share of relationship woes during the course of the season, so it should come as no surprise that the drama continued when the cameras weren’t rolling 24/7. Mike, who is now married to Natalie, notably has a very close relationship with his “great friend” Sarah, and Natalie has been open about her disdain for their friendship from the very beginning.
In fact, during the Season 7’s 90 Day Fiancé tell-all special, Natalie accused Mike of cheating on her with Sarah before Sarah’s wedding day, after she saw him shirtless on her couch. Also, Sarah was seen getting out of the shower while they were video-chatting. Natalie’s cheating accusations followed the couple into Season 8 and was also the catalyst for some of their biggest disagreements (via ScreenRant). Mike maintains that “Sarah is a sister to me,” and that they were just “roommates” and have always been “really great friends” (via TV Insider).
Sarah sets the record straight about her and Natalie's drama
“To be honest with you, I don’t remember that ever happening. If Michael had a conversation with Natalie and he didn’t have his shirt on, I was completely unaware of that,” Sarah said of the shower incident (via Entertainment Tonight), adding, “Um, we had a very early morning, it’s not unlike me to run through the house announcing that I’m gonna get in the shower because I had a house full of people.”
On the 90 Day Fiancé tell-all, Sarah also said that her first interaction with Natalie left a bad taste in her mouth — particularly the fact that Natalie insinuated all American women are “whores” during their first FaceTime meeting while Sarah and Mike were in the car together running errands for Sarah’s wedding. “She introduced herself and she said hi, and she told me congratulations, and then she asked me if, um, all American women were whores or if it was just me?” she shared, adding that they “proceeded to have a screaming match with each other” and that they both said a lot of horrible things to one another.
“And then she was told by her friend that women in America can’t have relationships with men unless they’re sleeping with them,” she explained. “I think that’s where her insecurity came from and maybe that’s why she jumped to conclusions. But the first introduction was not a good introduction and a lot of names were called.”
