A Place in the Sun guests opt for property in Costa Da Caparica
Like many over the weekend, Sara Damergi took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate her husband in a touching Father’s Day message. However, the A Place in the Sun star candidly confessed that the day had also been a struggle as she grieved her beloved dad.
The 43-year-old some snaps of their happy family of four, smiling in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, captioned: “Beaut lunch with my fam for Father’s Day so grateful my boys have such a fantastic dad!
“Not going to pretend all was fabulous all day I did have a few tears for my late dad this morning so sending much love to those struggling today.”
The mum-of-two was overwhelmed with support in the comments section as fans flocked to share their own messages of love and grief.
One fan wrote: “Thinking of you today. Take care,” while a second gushed: “You’ve done him proud.”
Another added: “My heart is with you.”
A fourth declared: “Lovely photos as always Sara, yes your three boys are gorgeous, thinking of you and everyone who has lost their dad.”
The day proved to be bittersweet for many stars, as BBC News’ Martine Crozall shocked fans as she revealed her father had died in 2021.
She wrote on Twitter alongside a snap of her late father: “I’ve not written about it before but my dad died in Oct 2021. We were devastated but it was a blessed relief for him.

Actress Kym Marsh made a different kind of tribute to her dad who has terminal cancer, sharing a picture of her new detailed tattoo featuring two hefty scoops of ice cream in a cone, topped with syrup and sprinkles.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star wrote in the caption: “Thank you so much Jess Wright for my wonderful tribute to my dad. This was paid for and not an advert in any way but oh boy is she a wonderful tattoo artist!!!”
