Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has been faced with a mum-shaming row after the star shared a selection of snaps of her daughters playing by an icy river in the countryside.
After sharing an update of her daughters playing in the snow on her social media, the Yorkshire Shepherdess, 48, was slammed by fans for allowing her children to be so close to the hazard.
"Wintery scenes in Yorkshire," she began to write in her Instagram caption. "A soothing stillness and very quiet. #yorkshire #swaledale #snow #ice #outdoors #frozen."
Many were quick to comment underneath, with one writing: "Put a warning on this DO NOT WALK ON ICE."
"Don't go on the ice kids…. safety first. X," another wrote, while a third said: "Do not walk on ice. [Amanda] is a public figure and her kids can help save lives by giving good advice."
But many defended the star, as they complimented Amanda as a caring mother.
"Amanda knows where the girls are safe. She would not let them go where it wasn’t safe," one fan said, while another added: "She would not put her children in danger."
One social media user also told Amanda how refreshing it is to see children having fun while being away from computer screens.
"Looks like the children are having the time of their lives great to see children outside instead of sitting in front of a TV or Computers xxx," one shared.
Another agreed by writing: "I love the way your Children embrace the outdoors, no matter what the weather.
"They are an inspiration to others."
Amanda shares her nine children with her ex Clive Owen, who she starred with in the Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm.
And the couple’s youngest three children – Annas, Nancy and Clemmy – will soon star in the family’s next television venture, Pooch Mooch.
The programme recently launched on Sky Kids, and celebrates the special relationship between a child and their dog.
It comes after Amanda said she was "plodding on" on Valentine's Day after she announced her split from Clive, 67, in June 2022 after 22 years of marriage.
Amanda wrote on Instagram: "Got to keep plodding on #yorkshire #horsepower #riding #horses."
Fans rushed to support the star, with one writing: "Absolutely love seeing the beautiful scenery you let us see & your super family x."
Another said: "Keep your head up. Beautiful horses and family xx."
