Andrew Neil, 72, previously said anti-vaxxers will have to face consequences if they don’t get the jabs, which sparked a divide amongst his followers. Today, Beverley Turner shared a link to a website which claimed a health worker had a severe reaction to the Moderna vaccine.

She tweeted that the report was “an insightful website for anybody insisting on mandatory vaccinations for covid”.

The presenter tagged Andrew, Nick Ferrari and Andrew Pierce in the tweet, much to the former’s dismay.

Hitting back this evening, the GB News founder wrote: “I’ve never supported mandatory vax.

“It’s important to be accurate in such matters and I’d be grateful if you could correct your tweet.”

Andrew has shared his thoughts on the Covid-19 vaccines several times on his social media page.

In a previous tweet, he revealed he had three doses of Pfizer and recommended everybody else did the same.

He added: “I have also seen how well vaccine passports work.

“I don’t believe in mandatory vaccination, but if you don’t get jabbed you need to realise there are consequences on where you can go.”

In his Daily Mail online column earlier this month, he hit out at the reported five million unvaccinated people who he claimed “through fear, ignorance, irresponsibility or sheer stupidity refuse to be jabbed”.

He went on to say: “If they contract Covid, it is they who will put the biggest strain on the NHS, denying the rest of us with serious non-Covid ailments the treatment that is our right.

“We are all paying a heavy price for this hard core of the unvaccinated.”

He acknowledged that while a small number may not have received the jab for medical reasons, the others were “simply selfish not to be vaccinated”.
