Arctic Monkeys Share Video For New Single ‘Body Paint’

Indie rock band Arctic Monkeys recently dropped a new song “Body Paint,” the second single from their seventh studio album, The Car, along with an accompanying music video.

“Straight from the cover shoot/There’s still a trace of body paint/On your legs and on your arms and on your face,” sings Alex Turner. “And I’m keeping on my costume/And calling it a writing tool/And if you’re thinking of me/I’m probably thinking of you.”

The song’s music video was directed by Brooke Linder with Ben Chappell serving as creative director. The video was filmed between London and Missouri and features an editing room where a screen shows different scenes, such as a man looking at an helicopter, or a tanning booth, interspersed with footage of the band playing in a film studio.

The Car is the forthcoming seventh studio album by Arctic Monkeys, scheduled to release on October 21. The band had released the lead track “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball” last month. The band had also debuted a new song, “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am”, live at the Zurich Openair festival.
