Ariana Grande has promised to donate up to $5 million, in collaboration with the therapy platform Better Health, to provide free mental health therapy to her fans on World Mental Health Day.
Grande announced the humanitarian gesture on Instagram, saying, “I acknowledge that there are very real barriers when it comes to accessing mental health resources, and while this is only one small gesture (and a much larger systemic problem remains) I wanted to do this again with @betterhelp in hopes of bringing access to a few more people and perhaps inspiring a few of you to try something new and prioritize your own healing.”
Those who are interested can sign up for the initiative at betterhelp.com/ariana.
Maroon 5 also offered support to kids’ mental health and organizations including YourMomCares and RxWell.
“We are donating to help continue the further development of behavioral health care that was not previously available for adolescents,” the band tweeted.
