Former Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury, 51, has taken to Twitter to give her 156,000 followers an update on her battle with breast cancer after attending a medical appointment yesterday. The brave star has been aiming to raise awareness of symptoms and warning signs to look out for since she was diagnosed in September this year.

It wasn’t long before her latest post was inundated with grateful responses from fans, as she highlighted an important issue for fellow cancer patients.

Julia shared a selfie while waiting to see her doctor.

The star could be seen wearing a cosy grey jumper and a blue face mask in the snap.

She wrote alongside it: “Another day, another medical appt.

“Once you get a cancer diagnosis be prepared for an overload of info.

“Try to take someone w/you to help take notes(tricky w/COVID)or ask if you can record the appt.

“It’s impossible to remember everything you hear-no matter how life changing it is,” Julia advised.

Fans took to the comments section of Julia’s tweet to praise her for her vital point.

Chelle Louise penned: “Since COVID I’ve had to go to all of my oncology appts by myself my partner and mum then call to see how I got in an to be honest it’s always a blur an I’m like ummmmmmmm I honestly can’t really remember.”

“Record them X,” Julia replied.

Jane Wilson added: “I’m so sorry for what your going through. It’s very brave of you to share it with others to help if needed. Take care of yourself x.”

Ian Riley commented: “It’s confusing at the best of times – recording is a great idea. Especially in these circumstances. Sending some spare strength I found today Julia. Use it as and when.”
