AceShowbiz –Big Sean is mourning the death of his pal Takeoff. The “One Man Can Change the World” rapper has revealed that he’s mentally shaken after the 28-year-old Migos member was shot and killed.
Making use of his Instagram Story on Wednesday, November 2, the 34-year-old hip-hop artist posted a message over a black screen. “Mentally not doing so well. Sending love to whoever need,” he first penned, adding a black heart emoji.
In a separate Story, Big Sean, whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, stated, “God please protect us all.” The “Dark Sky Paradise” artist continued, “so many of us need your Grace and Love.”
Big Sean said he’s not mentally well after Takeoff’s death.
That same day, Big Sean posted a series of photos that saw him posing alongside Takeoff. In the first throwback snapshot, he’s seen wearing a purple snapback while Takeoff donned retro sunglasses and a white T-shirt. Over the image, Big Sean added an emoji of a broken heart.
Not stopping there, Big Sean also reposted a portrait photo of Takeoff from the latter’s Instagram page. Takeoff was seen smiling in the picture. Big Sean simply captioned the post with a single white dove emoji.

The news of Takeoff’s tragic death has left the hip-hop community in shock. Among those who paid tributes to the late star were Drake, T.I., DJ Khaled, The Game, Meek Mill, Rich the Kid, Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie), SZA, Rick Ross, Blueface, Jas Prince and Desiigner.
Migos member Offset and his wife Cardi B also expressed their condolences on social media. Offset was seen changing his Instagram profile picture to Takeoff’s smiling photo, while Cardi retweeted heartwarming footage from Migos’ interview.
Takeoff was shot and killed during a triple-shooting that took place following a private party outside 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston on Tuesday, November 1. According to authorities, around 40 people were standing outside the venue when an altercation resulted in shots being fired by one or more suspects. The Atlanta-born rapper was pronounced dead on the scene by arriving paramedics. Police are currently seeking help from the public to identify the suspect(s).
