When announcing the baby’s arrival, the first-time dad reveals that the labor ‘went well’ and that his wife is currently recovering and ‘doing well’ after giving birth to their ‘healthy’ child.
AceShowbiz –Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are now officially parents. The “Bachelor in Paradise” couple announced that they have welcomed their “sweet and beautiful” first child after “smooth” labor.
Announcing the happy news was the first-time dad. Taking to his Instagram account, the 33-year-old reality star revealed that they welcomed a son named Dawson Demitri Haibon on Monday, January 31.
“Baby Dawson is here and healthy! Ashley is recovering and doing well! It really couldn’t have gone much smoother,” Jared captioned a video of himself announcing the news. He then gushed, “He’s so sweet & beautiful and has been sleeping all day. Unlike his Mom and Dad who are on no sleep right now but it’s totally worth it!”
In the 40-second clip, Jared told his followers that the labor “went well.” Offering more details, he added that Ashley “is recovering right now. Dawson is doing well.” He then shared, “We haven’t slept obviously, so we’re gonna eat we’re gonna sleep and we’re very excited for you guys to see Dawson,” giving the camera a thumbs up.
Ashley and Jared first unveiled that they’re expecting a baby in July last year. At the time, the couple, who tied the knot in August 2019, broke the exciting news during an Amazon Livestream.
“Jared hasn’t kissed me in a while because I can’t stop throwing up,” Ashley said at the time, explaining that she had been experiencing morning sickness all day every day. “It’s been a hard time, guys.” Seemingly still in disbelief, Jared chimed in, “It’s weird to say we’re gonna be parents. When does it sink in?”
Then last month, Ashley and Jared shared the sweet cinematic inspiration behind the name of their baby boy. Jared said at the time that the newborn’s moniker was inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio‘s “Titanic” character, Jack Dawson.
“One of Ashley’s loves,” Jared noted, pointing out that Ashley even brought up the idea for the name when the couple was “just friends.” Ashley added, “Naming a kid after a Leo character is very natural for us.” As for their son’s middle name, the now-parents said that Demitri was simply a name they both liked.
