BLACKPINK say Rose and Lisa’s solo debut will showcase ‘unique charms’

BLACKPINK have given fans an update on Rose and Lisa’s upcoming solo debuts as the band get ready to bring The Show to the world.

The band recently revealed that Rose and Lisa would be making their solo debuts very soon, and while they remain tight-lipped about the specifics, they’ve promised Blinks will get to see something special from each of the singers.

They told Metro.co.uk: ‘It is hard to share the details at the moment, but we are working very hard to deliver the best music for our fans.

‘We hope to show our unique own charms, so we hope you look forward to it as well.’

BLACKPINK will be performing a virtual concert, The Show, for fans on Sunday, and they say the ‘immersive experience’ was quite the feat amid the current pandemic.

They explained: ‘We are always discussing to find different ways for our fans from all over the world to enjoy our shows to the fullest while being affected by the current situation.

‘We want to be creative but also have to consider practicality and believe that The Show could be that first big step.

‘As we said before, we prepared many special stages and multiple sets backed by detailed production – paying special attention to visual, sound, and other technical stuff – to differentiate our online concert from previous concerts we’ve done offline.

‘Hopefully viewers can notice that and we are super excited to see their reaction.’

While live shows have sadly been off the menu for the past year due to the ongoing pandemic, the band managed to still get together to record music while adhering to coronavirus guidelines.

They revealed that most of their recording was done together as a band, while collaborations had to take place remotely due to travel restrictions.

BLACKPINK say: ‘We went to the studio and also recorded remotely. When we recorded songs that did not feature other artists, we usually went to the studio and recorded all together.

‘However, when we collaborated with other artists, a lot of work was done remotely as we could not meet up due to the pandemic. Whether remote recording or not, the overall process and how we approach our music did not change much.’

The Show is also set to showcase some incredible new stages for the fans and the girls have put their all into making it a visual spectacular.

‘It was not easy but we believe that we found a way to deliver the best immersive experience for our viewers, thanks to our excellent staff,’ they said.

‘We prepared multiple large-scale sets and special stages, which might have been difficult to execute if it were our world tour.

‘We would like to emphasize that the ability to share our music with our fans at the same time during this difficult time is what makes virtual concert special. Through The Show we hope to cherish that special moment together.’

BLACKPINK: The Show will stream on YouTube on January 31.
