Brec Bassinger is opening up about learning about the potential fate of her show DC’s Stargirl.
The 23-year-old of course stars as Courtney Whitmore / Stargirl on the CW series.
Last week, it was announced that the show will end after the current third season, which is now airing on the network.
Brec revealed in a teaser for an upcoming podcast interview when she found out that the show might not continue for a fourth season.
Check out what she said inside…
“The news about Stargirl has kind of been on and off since May,” she said on The Wayne Ayers Podcast. “I actually found out in May that Stargirl might not be picked up for a fourth season.”
“I was on an airplane. I was actually flying to an event for Stargirl when I got the news,” she continued. But that being said, it wasn’t for sure, and the next few months after that became this emotional roller coaster of, ‘Yeah, I think it’s gonna get picked up,’ or, ‘Oh no, we’re pitching it to a different streaming service,’ or, ‘Oh, we have to get this service to [pick it up].’ It just became this emotional roller coaster.”

Back in May, Brec did attend the CW upfronts in New York City, which was right after several shows were announced to be canceled.
Recently, after the cancelation news was announced, Brec also revealed that they filmed two different endings to the season, just in case.
