Britney Spears claims father Jamie 'took $36,000,000 during conservatorship'

Britney Spears’ father Jamie ‘took $36million (£26million)’ during her conservatorship, according to new legal documents, with the star’s lawyer hoping that $6million (£4million) will be returned to her.

In documents obtained by TMZ, Britney’s lawyer claims that Jamie took part in self-dealing, financial and business mismanagement during the 13-year conservatorship, which was terminated in November.

He claims that Jamie earned $6million that he did not have a right to, and is hoping that, at the hearing on January 19, the judge will order him to pay the sum back.

Jamie allegedly spent part of the sum pitching a programme called Cookin’ Cruzin’ & Chaos.

It’s claimed that ‘millions’ more was spent on lawyers for the conservatorship, with those fees totalling more than $30million.

Meanwhile, Britney has issued a cease and desist letter to her sister Jamie Lynn.

The Toxic hitmaker’s sister recently released her book Things I Should Have Said, which makes various claims about Britney.

Britney’s lawyer has now issued a forceful cease and desist, letter, which lets Jamie Lynn know that she ‘will not be bullied’.

In the letter, the star’s lawyer writes that ‘the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her.’

The letter goes on: ‘Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.’

It adds that Britney, 40, endured ‘abuse and wrongdoing’ amid her 13-year conservatorship, and says: ‘Britney will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else.’

The letter concludes: ‘You recently reportedly stated that the book was “not about her.” She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign. If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.’

Sources close to Jamie Lynn, 30, told TMZ that she has not yet received the letter.

The letter comes shortly after Britney shared a furious Instagram post, claiming she should have slapped Jamie Lynn and her mother, Lynn, ‘across their f**king faces’.

In the post, she claimed Justin Timberlake’s family was ‘all she knew for many years,’ after the pair dated from 1998 to 2002.

Britney also recently responded to Jamie Lynn’s claim that she once locked them both in a room together, while holding a knife.

She vehemently denied the claim in a scathing response to her sister, saying: ‘Jamie Lynn… congrats babe! You’ve stooped to a whole new level of LOW … I’ve never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such !!! The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I ever saw in my life and it was way too big for me to cut.’

She added: ‘So please please stop with these crazy lies for the Hollywood books !!! NOW and only NOW I do know only a scum person would make up such things about someone …. I’m actually very confused about you making that up because it’s honestly not like you at all !!!! Around the kids ???? Jamie Lynn, seriously ??? Come on !!! Congrats on introducing your older sister the concept of getting LOW … LOWER … LOWEST … because you win on that one, babe !!!!’
