Britney Spears confirms release date of tell all memoir on her terms

Britney Spears has officially confirmed the release date for a tell-all memoir “on her terms” as she shared a short clip to her Twitter feed, which also revealed the cover of the highly anticipated book.

The 15 second clip shows pink text on a grey background as slides reveal: “It’s coming. My story. On my terms. At last. Are you ready?”

The cover of the book is then displayed on the screen alongside the words: “ON SALE 10.24.23”. The cover art of the book is minimalistic and shows a black-and-white picture of a younger Britney posing topless, as she wraps her arms around her chest.

She looks stylish in metallic trousers which stand out against the black background.

Fans flooded the comments to express their excitement for the book release and showed support for the pop icon. One person commented: “WE LOVE YOU AND WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU FINALLY GET TO TELL YOUR OWN STORY!”, while another said: “People can take everything away from you, but they can never take away your truth”.

A third wrote: “You have no idea how much we love you and how proud we are of you, Britney. I just want you to know that you have SO MANY mothers, fathers, sisters, sons, daughters and friends all over the world and we will always support you no matter what.”

“Best Selling author Britney Spears has a nice ring to it”, another added.

Another excited fan tweeted: “OMG They're not ready for the truth, but that's exactly what they need!!! Your story told in your own words and vision of the facts.”

Others were keen to know if the Hit Me Baby singer was going to be releasing an audiobook as another fan commented: “Yas Britney! Please tell me you are narrating the audiobook for this!”

The book Britney Spears: The Woman In Me was teased yesterday as the singer posted a video of herself dancing to a Janet Jackson hit.

In the caption, the singing sensation teased she had an update to share on Tuesday. She told her followers: "Great news coming tomorrow … I’m so so excited … can’t wait to share this news with you all !!!!"

Speculation was mounting the news could involve Britney's long-rumoured – and sure to be bombshell-packed – memoir. In February of 2022, Britney signed a $15 million book deal, which is one of the biggest book deals of all time.
