Singer Britney Spears and her new husband Sam Asghari have been granted a restraining order against the popstar's ex Jason Alexander after an attempt to crash their wedding.
Britney, 40, and 28 year old Sam’s lawyer reportedly said that Jason was not allowed to be within 100 yards of the newlyweds or their Los Angeles home.
Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart told Page Six: “Fortunately, Alexander is incarcerated and under an emergency protective order.”
He continued: “I want to thank Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh, Detective Ken Michaelson and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for their prompt and good work and look forward to working with law enforcement to ensure Alexander is aggressively prosecuted and hopefully convicted, as he should be.
“This was an outrageous security breach, which I am livid about, but fortunately Britney is safe, and she was a stunning and happy bride.”
The publication reports that the restraining order also mentioned how Jason was carrying a knife when he was arrested following the incident on Thursday.
Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh, from Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, told the PA news agency an altercation had occurred with security officers, during which items had been broken.
“He [Jason] was able to find his way onto the property and was confronted by security,” Sergeant Zadeh said.
“An altercation occurred with the security officers and that’s where the battery occurred… and during the altercation an item was broken so that’s where the vandalism comes into play.
“And by being on private property, the trespass comes into play.”
Following Jason’s arrival at Britney’s home on her wedding day, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrested him.
Mathew told Page Six: “Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work.
“I’m working closely with law enforcement to ensure My Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
