Call the Midwife star Miriam Margolyes has stunned in a series of snaps from her younger years. The award-winning actor plays Sister Mildred on the popular BBC show, who’s character turned up at Nonnatus House with four child refugees in tow during the Christmas special.
The award-winning actor looked dazzling in the series of unearthed pictures from earlier on in her career.
The first portrayed Miriam at 30-years-old when she was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 for the play Afternoon Theatre – The Bashful Canary.
In the black and white snap, the star sat on a bed while leaning gracefully against the wall as she smiled for the camera.
Always one for bold prints, Miriam donned a patterned dress with a knitted bra top over the top.
She completed her eclectic outfit with a scarf tied around her neck.
The star wore only a hint of eye make-up for the shoot and wore her curls in their signature tousled style, proving that not much has changed over the years.
In the second snap, the star grinned charmingly, while wearing a pink and purple bold shirt, chunky jewellery and her signature bed-head hairdo.
Most recently the star has been reprising her role as Sister Mildred on Call the Midwife after last appearing on the programme in 2019.
