BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood, 59, reacted on social media after the meteorologist gave a weather update. It comes after the forecaster gave viewers an insight into rising temperatures across parts of the United States and Canada.
Taking to Twitter, Carol took the opportunity to share a screenshot from Breakfast of the weather temperatures.
In view of her 205,000 followers, she wrote: “Record-breaking temperatures again on Monday across parts of Canada and parts of North America. Today’s forecast shows temperatures a little lower for some @BBCBreakfast.”
But one viewer spotted an error with the spelling listed on the weather forecast.
It appeared that a town in Canada had been incorrectly inputted on screen.
The person in question wrote: “When you do your next weather bulletin @carolkirkwood please be advised that the temperature for Jasper in Canada has been input as ‘Japser’.”
Carol was stunned by the on-air mistake as the weather forecaster admitted she was unaware of it.
She responded: “Yikes! Didn’t notice that. Thanks Mark. Well spotted.”
Carol often uses her social media pages to give updates on the day’s weather conditions and what Brits can expect.
Elsewhere, the Breakfast host has taken on a new venture away from her regular weather duties.
She is gearing up to celebrate the release of her debut novel, Under A Greek Moon, which will be available to purchase in just a matter of weeks.
As the release date approaches, Carol delighted her fans by sharing a key update with them.
The BBC Breakfast regular shared a video as she beamed from ear to ear while holding a copy of Under A Greek Moon.

She exclaimed: “Hello! I am so excited because look what I have.
“This is the first copy of the export of the international book and this is me, this is the title, I have written this.”
As she showed fans different sides of the printed release, she added: “I’m on that side as well — I haven’t seen it before, here are some of the pages!”
As she continued to give fans an exclusive preview, Carol said: “Oh my word, I cannot tell you how exciting it is.
“The hardback will be out on the 8th of July and I look forward to reading it again, myself.
“But for now, I’m going into the studio to do some recording, take care,” she said before disappearing out of shot.
The Scottish-born star is also currently recording the audio edition of her book.
BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6am.
