Carol Vorderman tried on a dress that was specially made for Holly Willoughby, while at a fitting for her own gown for the Daily Mirror Pride Of Britain 2021 Awards. The TV and radio presenter admitted that she was “chuffed” to fit into the This Morning star’s outfit.

Carol made her comments on social media, after taking to Instagram to share a sneak peek at her gowns for the star-studded event, which will be televised next week.

She also revealed the process that goes into the creating stunning haute couture numbers.

The 60-year-old Countdown legend posted a series of pictures online today which captured not one, but two dresses, being specially made for her.

She could be seen modelling a stunning figure-hugging red gown for the award ceremony and additional dress for the red carpet.

The television star said they “fitted like a glove”.

On Instagram, Carol wrote: “I’ve been spoiled this year with two haute couture dresses for @prideofbritain awards.

“The dress I’ll wear tomorrow night has been made by @suzanneneville one of the top dress designers especially for brides (NO I’M NOT GETTING MARRIED),” she quickly clarified.

She then broke down what happened behind the scenes to create the masterpiece.

“So this was how it went. 1. Go in and try on some sample dresses including one which had been made before for @hollywilloughby… that one fitted like a glove… I was well chuffed I could fit into it!!!

“2. Suzanne designed what she thought would look respectful and suitable to host this huge event.

“3 They make a white ‘toile’ to my general size and measurements. Then while I’m wearing it all the final shaping is made.

“4. Using the ‘toile’ the dress is made in the fabric we’ve chosen… this year I’ve chosen a beautiful red… to complement my clever wonderful co-host @ashleybanjogram who’s wearing a blue suit on the night.

“5 Yesterday I tried it on….NEXT POST.”

She went on to thank the team who had been hard at work.

“Thank you thank you to Suzanne and everyone who’s been involved especially to my stylist for Pride of Britain @marcellastylist #dressfitting #couturefashion #couturedress #awards #høst #prideofbritain.”

Her next post showcased the form-fitting dress which clung to her curves and included a dramatic train.

“A little view of my beautiful dress made so kindly by @suzanneneville for the @prideofbritain awards tomorrow (shown on @itv on Thursday Nov 4th at 8pm with my partner in crime @ashleybanjogram),” Carol wrote alongside the snap.

“I tried it on yesterday (see last post for the process of having a haute couture dress made) and it fitted like a glove.

“We have shortened the train as I move around the stage a lot and a long train is awkward for that.

“I love this dress… thank you thank you @suzanneneville and all the team for spoiling me so so much. And, as ever, my stylist for the awards the beautiful @marcellastylist. Love you #hautecouture.”

Her third and final post teased her glamorous red carpet look.

She could be seen in a strapless black ensemble made by Isabell Kristensen Couture.

“You can be more playful with dresses for the red carpet so @isabellkristensenofficial has made a wonderful gown for me for the @prideofbritain red carpet tomorrow.

“It’s STUNNING. Can’t believe how spoiled I am,” Carol explained.

She also shared a peek at the “most stunning diamonds” that HStern have allowed her to wear.
