Andrew Brady, 31, has been jailed for four months after he admitted to harassing GB News presenter, Dan Wootton, between February and April last year. The former fiancé of Caroline Flack, pled guilty to harassing the journalist in the aftermath of Caroline’s death.

The court heard how Brady began harassing Mr Wootton around a year after Caroline died in February 2020.

According to reports, prosecutor Laura Marshall said: “He told his sister that he had been writing down things about his life and relationship with Ms Flack and he might turn it into a book.

“There were messages sent to the complainant, ‘I want to be on your podcast, an interview, not a tell-all. Sunday Sun gets exclusive’.

“The prosecution says he couldn’t sell his stories because nobody was prepared to buy them, and so instead he decided to take his anger out on people he blamed for that.”

Ms Marshall said Brady began to attack Dan via social media, through online blogs and sent voice notes to his personal phone.

She continued: “He would call him extremely derogatory terms, and on one Instagram message stated he felt like ‘getting rid of him once and for all’.”

In one voicemail message, Ms Marshall said Brady was heard telling Wootton he is “an evil man who needs to be dealt with”, later calling him a “murdering little c**t”.

Judge Jeremy Richardson QC told Brady at Sheffield Crown Court that his “utterly outrageous” claims were “wholly irrational”.

He added that Brady’s attacks had: “Everything to do with your craving for celebrity status and your irritation that the press were not in the least interested in your somewhat uninteresting life”.

The judge also pointed out that Mr Wootton, former executive editor of The Sun, was a friend of Caroline’s prior to her death.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star was sentenced to four months in jail and given a 10-year restraining order banning Brady from contacting Mr Wootton, posting anything about him online, or going within 200 yards of his home or workplace.

Dan said in a statement read to the court that he “adored” the “late Caroline Flack” and “only ever wrote stories that she wanted to be published”, as reported by BBC.

The journalist added: “She knew I had her back.”

“The public should be aware that he has no credibility to speak on behalf of Caroline.”

However, he added that he hopes “[Brady] gets the help he needs”.
