Charlotte Dawson has spoken about how cruel trolls have made her cry – including one who berated her for eating Nutella.

The 28-year-old mum told new magazine that she feels constantly under attack since welcoming baby Noah in January.

Charlotte said: “I’ve been trolled about my weight since having my baby Noah. I mean, who does that to a new mum?

“Someone had a go at me for eating Nutella because I’d had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. I was eating it out of the jar – maybe that’s what they didn’t like?"

“I’m well aware that diabetes is a serious thing,” she continued. “My dad [comedian Les Dawson] had it, so I know it’s in my family and I should be eating fish and veg, but it’s not easy, is it?”

Charlotte admitted the remark affected her confidence and said: “I need to get my head around it, but we’re all human and I’m still breast-feeding, so I need my energy. Though I must admit I did have a little cry after that comment.”

She added: “I just couldn’t believe someone would be that mean to a mum with a new baby.”

Charlotte’s admission comes after she shouted loud and proud about her “Easter egg belleh” as she posed in underwear and tucked into a jar of Nutella.

Writing alongside the video, Charlotte told fans: “Hmm… my darlings, starting to think maybe this beltin’ belleh isn’t just a postpartum belleh.

"More of a chips and graveh belleh/Easter egg belleh. Not to mention Maccies, Domino’s, crisps and choccie. And all of that was before my little prince arrived!”

It’s not the first time Charlotte has had to fire back at critics as the star previously called out a troll who called her son “ugly”.

Charlotte, who’s been engaged to rugby player Matt Sarsfield since September 2020, explained: “I put the picture of Noah on Instagram last night and a girl who actually has quite a lot of followers on Instagram put, ‘Well you have got a f****** ugly kid’.

“Wow. I publicly humiliated that girl because I think if you write that on my Instagram then I will out you.”

She added, “I have messages saying, ‘I feel sorry for him that he has got you as a mum’, and stuff like that. I just think, how can you be nasty to a baby? How can you say these comments? Don’t be nasty, you don’t know what is going through people’s heads.

“What is so bad about me? I am a good mum, I am trying my hardest. People are just awful.”
