Cheryl says she rarely has time to exercise now she’s a busy mum to Bear

Once known for her commitment to an extreme exercise regime, Cheryl says her life has changed now she's a busy mum, meaning regular exercise has been put on the back-burner.

Life as mum to four-year-old Bear, who she shares with ex-partner Liam Payne, has led to some big lifestyle changes for the star.

Talking to Women’s Health UK, Cheryl, 38, detailed how her attitude has changed since she became a mother.

She said: “My approach to life and the world changed when I became a mother to Bear.

“I have a completely different perspective now that I’m responsible for another human.

“I care less about the silly stuff and more about the important things in life, like Bear’s health and happiness," she contunnued.

However, Cheryl did reveal she’s recently invested in a Peleton bike.

She continued: “Exercise isn’t top of my priority list at the moment – I haven’t done anything regularly for over a year – but I recently bought a Peloton spin bike.

“I’ve used it a few times and I enjoy it, especially with the music. But when you’re a mum, the day floats away, so I don’t get to use it that often.

Cheryl has also cited meditation with ‘changing her life’ and says she makes time to meditate every day.

"I do it every evening and sometimes during the day for at least 20 minutes at a time while my son Bear is at nursery," the former Girls Aloud singer continued.

"Calm also has an app for kids called Moshi, which I sometimes use for Bear – it tells kiddy stories, it's cute."

Cheryl’s interview comes after she announced she would be taking a break from performing commitments following the death of her former Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding.

Sarah passed away in September 2021 from breast cancer and a source then told Closer magazine that Cheryl was taking a step back from work.

They claimed: "The shock and devastation have hit her so hard.

"She's not in any mindset to think about performing so she's taking a little break to prioritise her wellbeing."
