Chris Evans, 55, found Monday’s show a little too much as he realised he had so much to get through during his three-hour breakfast programme. The radio DJ gave rundown of his itinerary for the morning and jokingly admitted he was “too busy” for it. Speaking to his listeners, he introduced what was coming up in the next half an hour before whispering the admission under his breath.
I’m too busy for my own show!

“We have some weekend wins for you from the team, we’ve got loads from you guys, we’ve got some Good Morning Chris Club applications…” he began.
“We’ve got it all going on already!”
He sighed as he whispered: I’m too busy for my own show!
“But I love it! I love it.”
He went on to give his loyal audience some advice on how to deal with the night sweats due to this intense English heat.
After one fan emailed in about not being able to sleep, Chris exclaimed: “That’s because you didn’t sort your room out!”
The former BBC Radio 2 host went on to reveal a clever trick in order to keep a house cool during the day so it’s easier to get to sleep at night time.
“You close all the curtains, you open windows on various floors if it’s safe to do so,” he added about small children.
“And you create that flow through your houses.
“This is a good tip by the way,” he giggled as he continued, “Thanks for the slightly negative email but you know, I get it.
“If you’re about to leave for work today and you usually open the curtains, today is the day you close the curtains to keep your house cool for heaven’s sake, you absolute muppets!” he exclaimed, laughing.
Taking a sharp breath, the presenter added: “I think we’re done for today.”
Elsewhere, with all this amazing English weather, Chris urged his fans to stay here in the UK this summer instead of going abroad, as we head towards the end of the pandemic.
The radio star is definitely no stranger to enjoying a summer holiday, but it appears this year he would prefer for himself and others to remain at home, as he spoke passionately on the subject during his Virgin Radio show.
The DJ urged the public to avoid going abroad, as he said there’s “no reason at all” for people to be jetting off as questions continue to linger on whether lockdown restrictions will end on June 21.
Speaking on Lord Lloyd Webber’s remarks that he would go ahead with opening his theatres on that date even if the end of lockdown is delayed, Chris said he felt everyone should work together to ensure cases of coronavirus in the UK remain low in the next few weeks.
The DJ felt that Britons should remain home, as going on holiday abroad during this critical time is “unnecessary”.
He began: “I was thinking about it again yesterday, and I don’t want to bang on about it on the radio, I promised myself I wouldn’t, but I can’t help myself.
“You know if we all just agree not to go abroad… what’s more important, a few people getting a foreign holiday that they really need, ‘We need to go away’, no you don’t, nobody needs to go away on holiday, nobody in the world needs to go away on holiday ever again.
“Let alone in the next six weeks, or six months, or six years.”
Chris explained it is “important” the UK gets back to normal before enjoying luxuries such as foreign vacations.
He continued: “It’s a lovely thing to do and we have all done it. We will all do it again, surely that’s got to happen, but if the two million people who booked a holiday don’t get to go abroad, that’s still a minority, ensuring the safety of the majority here in the UK.
“Surely it is more important to get back to as much normality as possible, all of us 60 odd million altogether, than some people going away for a couple of weeks for no reason at all really.”
