Chrissy Teigen Claps Back at Backlash for Attending Joe Biden’s Inauguration

Chrissy Teigen is clapping back at the haters.

The 35-year-old cookbook author and her family joined John Legend for a trip to Washington, DC where he will be performing at Joe Biden‘s Inauguration on Wednesday, January 20.

Ahead for the flight, Chrissy shared a photo on Twitter of son Miles, 2, in a suitcase as the family prepared for a flight to DC.

“My baby got his first fat lip pushing his car down the driveway,” Chrissy wrote. “Still happy packing for inauguration though!”

People then responded to the post, calling out Chrissy for attending the Inauguration in person “when literally no one can move about the city” amid the pandemic and extra security in place after Trump supporters rioted the Capitol earlier this month.

Chrissy then replied, “for f–ks sake why are you guys always always mad at me, all I wanna do is make you happy or at least leave you with a neutral feeling of indifference.”

Another user then tweeted her that DC residents “aren’t very ‘happy’ right now” about the locked-down city.

Chrissy replied to that user, writing, “this is not my fault but I’m sorry you’re frustrated. I just like to share what we are up to and whatnot.”
