The wife of former England football star Wayne was told she could not bring a claim against Caroline Watt in her legal tussle with Rebekah, 39.
Rebekah, the wife of Leicester City star Jamie Vardy, alleges Coleen libelled her by claiming she leaked false stories about her to newspapers.
Yesterday, Mrs Justice Steyn turned down Coleen’s application to bring Caroline into the case and to hear it alongside the libel trial.
But she did let Coleen, 35, amend her defence to include an allegation that Rebekah, through Caroline, gave information to journalists about an unnamed footballer.
She also gave permission for the disclosure of WhatsApp messages between Rebekah and Caroline and an order that both request information from Instagram. Rebekah denies the accusations and is suing Coleen for libel.

The row has been dubbed the “Wagatha Christie” mystery after Coleen investigated leaks about her personal life. In her ruling, Mrs Justice Steyn said the mother of four brought the action too late to include Caroline Watt.
A spokesman for Coleen said: “Coleen is pleased that today’s judgment leaves it open to bring separate legal action against CarolineWatt. Coleen and her legal team remain confident of winning this case.”
Coleen has to pay £65,000 towards Caroline Watt’s legal costs. The trial is due to take place in May, with a pre-trial hearing due in April.
