Colson Smith, who plays PC Craig Tinker on Coronation Street, took to Instagram and unveiled his physique after taking a break from the gym. The 23-year-old looked unrecognisable after shedding 10 stone last year.

The actor turned fitness fan shared a series of photos as he captured his first workout at the gym after a week off.

The ITV star first shared a mirror selfie of himself wearing a grey T-shirt and black shorts while sitting on a mat.

In view of his 169,000 followers, Colson captioned the post: “First session back after a week of pasta and pizza.”

The actor then added a shot of his cream trainers as he wrote: “It was good to be back.”

The photo showcased his very slimmed down frame and toned arms and legs.

The small-screen star has previously opened up about his body transformation and explained he overhauled his lifestyle.

Colson admitted he was subjected to horrific trolling prior to his dramatic weight loss.

The ITV actor shocked fans when he revealed his epic 10 stone weight loss for the first time last year.

He also shared that he wanted to make it easier for himself to chase any potential criminals on set.

However, despite being 10 stone lighter he says the jibes made at him by cruel trolls still haunt him to this day.

He told Runner’s World UK magazine: “That fat kid is the kid that I’ve looked at every day in the mirror and I still see him now.”

Colson added: “It’s a battle I’m probably going to carry with me for the rest of my life.

The small-screen star also explained that he didn’t have the easiest time growing up.

He got candid about his role in the spotlight from an early age.

“I got a hard time at school. I got a hard time for my job, and a hard time for the way I looked, so it was the worst of both worlds.”

The Corrie star first unveiled his weight loss when he hit the red carpet at the TRIC Awards in March 2020.

He documented his shrinking frame throughout lockdown on Instagram as he shared progress videos with fans.

The actor decided to share his journey with fans on his documentary Bored of Being the Fat Kid, which he released on his YouTube channel.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm.
