Dan Walker impressed the judges on Strictly Come Dancing last night with his Tango. The BBC Breakfast star has now addressed his performance, urging viewers to wait and see the results.
Dan shared the update in view of his 731,000 followers earlier today.
He penned: “It was a real privilege to be part of the #Strictly quarter finals last night.
“That’s the best I have danced in my whole life!
“Thank you for all your lovely comments & support & thank you @nadiyabychkova for another unforgettable Saturday.
“Find out who makes it through later.”
Dan and Nadiya scored 31 when they danced the Tango on Saturday night.
The pair were praised by the judges for their performance to Santa Maria by Gotan Project.
The couple scored two sevens from Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.
Motsi Mabuse gave him an eight while head judge Shirley Ballas marked him nine out of ten.
Speaking about his performance, Shirley said: “Well, I think given time, Dan will shine.
“For me, I thought you started off really well and it had a real sensual feel. For me, it continued throughout the routine.
“You stayed focussed, you were truly where you needed to be and you Nadiya felt 100 per cent safe in his arms and it almost took an independent feeling of a ballroom dancer.
“And that’s what you left me with and there was no smiling, you stayed just right there in it. I thought it was great.”
In response to his latest tweet, some of the star’s followers reached out with their thoughts.
Dan was quick to reply to both the criticism and the praise he received from viewers.
User Kaz054 penned: “This was awkward to watch you should have gone weeks ago! Fact!”
Dan simply wrote back: “Have a lovely Sunday Kaz.”
While fan Graeme K wrote: “I really loved ‘Tango Dan’ @mrdanwalker.
“Every week, you come out onto the dance floor & give it your all.
“You lift the nations spirits with your determination & you are a thoroughly top bloke.” (sic)
Moved by his message, Dan wrote back: “Thank you Graeme.”
Viewers will find out who makes it into the Strictly Semi-Finals on BBC One tonight at 7.20pm.
