Dane Bowers has broken his silence after his ex-girlfriend Laura Anderson announced that she is pregnant with former EastEnders star Gary Lucy's baby.
Singer and DJ Dane, 43, who split from Laura just last year after an on-off relationship, posted a snap of himself enjoying some sunshine at a beach club in Dubai, showing off his grey hair and beard and donning a pair of sunglasses.
He captioned the selfie:"What’s happening over there?… #sunny #sunnyday #beachclubs #zerogravity #dayslikethese #greybeard #beard #beardgang #bearded."
Some of his followers, however, weren't so shy of mentioning Laura, as one wrote: "Perhaps thinking what could have been…." whilst another commented: "It’s a shame id thought they were together forever."
A third said: "Did you know your ex is pregnant ….????"
On 15 February, Laura announced that she is expecting her first child with Gary Lucy, who she met shortly after she confirmed her split with Dane in August, as they filmed for E4's Celebs Go Dating.
Normally the show sees celebrities going on dates with non-celebs, chosen for them by a team of experts, however, romance blossomed between Laura and Gary, and by November, they'd gone public with their relationship.
Announcing her pregnancy, Laura posted a reel containing clips of her undergoing ultrasound scans and showing off her growing baby bump, including her and Gary celebrating the fact that she was pregnant at Christmas.
She tagged Gary in the post, which she captioned: "Our hearts are full Baby Lucy due 'Summer 23."
However, it was revealed later that day that Laura had "dumped" Gary after they attended their first baby scan together, leaving him "devastated".
He confirmed the split to The Sun, saying: "I love Laura but we are no longer together.
"My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby."
Dane and Laura were in a relationship on-and-off for five and they lived together in Dubai, before Laura moved back to the UK following their breakup. They were first romantically linked in 2017, but went their separate ways before rekindling their love after Laura's 2018 Love Island stint.
She revealed the news of their most recent split in a statement via Instagram which read: "Just to let all my beautiful support on here know that unfortunately Dane and I have decided to separate. Thank you all for your continued support.
"Sadly we're just not right for each other but I do wish him nothing but love.
"I will be moving back to the UK as soon as I can can. Roll on the rest of 2022, lets make it count," she added with a white heart emoji.
In May 2022, three months before announcing their split, Laura shared her excitement that the pair were starting fertility treatment in the hope of having a child together.
However, she was forced to delay the IVF treatment after being told she needed to take more vitamins.
