Danny Miller praises Emmerdale for time off to be with fiancée Steph for ‘final hurdle’ before giving birth

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has praised the soap for allowing him to have time off to be with his fiancée Steph Jones for her “final hurdle” of her pregnancy before she gave birth to their son Albert.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Danny told us: “Emmerdale have been great.

“I’ve had a couple of weeks so it was great to be a part of the last final hurdle with Steph as well before the baby came.”

The 30 year old has played Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap since 2008 and has won multiple British Soap Awards for this portrayal.

The star also recently opened up about the touching messages he’d received from his Emmerdale family following Albert’s birth.

The tot was welcomed into the world on 25 October at 9:16am, weighing 6lbs 11oz.

Danny and Steph introduced him in a stunning OK! photoshoot and interview and the soap star discussed the messages he has received from his ITV co-stars since becoming a father for the first time.

Speaking alongside wife-to-be Steph, Danny told us: "They've all been really good. I've heard from Jeff Hordley, Zoe Henry, Mark Charnock, Izzy Steele and Lucy Pargeter, who plays my mum on the show. And it was really nice to hear from Elizabeth Estensen.

"We're very close and she left the show last week and I didn't get to see her before she went.”

He continued of his co-stars: "Some of them have told me they've sent gifts, so there's a few of them waiting for thank you texts as we have some parcels stuck at the delivery office!"

Speaking about adjusting to parenthood, Danny continued: "It's been amazing. We've had a real whirlwind of emotions.

"Getting him home was the biggest realisation that it's just the three of you," he said.

"When you're in hospital you have the support, then when you get home it's just you two and the baby, so it's about working out a new way of living and adjusting to everything."

Danny announced he and Steph had welcomed their first child together on social media.
