Davina McCall has opened up on a terrifying experience after burglars broke into her boyfriend’s home in London.

The incident took place before the presenter was due to fly to Spain with her beau Michael Douglas, 47, in tow.

The pair were leaving the UK to film Davina's new programme Language of Love in the Mediterranean's sunnier climes.

Sadly, the 53 year old TV star was left shook-up by the incident and revealed she had been left feeling "violated".

The burglars also took a safe containing valuable items before fleeing from the hairdresser's London home.

“It’s just feeling violated," Davina told The Sun about her experience in a new interview.

"Anyone who’s been burgled knows what that feels like. It makes you want to move out. I hate it."

"It’s a horrible feeling," the presenter added.

According to the publication, Michael has since taken more safety precautions to help prevent further incidents from taking place and has installed CCTV cameras in his home.

"It’s got a motion detector and night vision. If anyone enters my house day or night, I get a ping on my phone," he said.

Thankfully, despite the awful incident, Davina and Michael have been in good spirits as they continue to share videos from their time in Spain.

Davina has been dating her celebrity stylist boyfriend for two years.

The pair met decades ago after Michael was hired to do brunette Davina's hair during her stint as the host of Channel 4's reality show Big Brother.

The star, who wore her silky locks in a cropped bob at the time, has been using the stylist ever since, and the pair became close friends over the course of 20 years.

Davina has also said she often turned to Michael as her "therapist" before they finally took their relationship to the next level in the summer of 2019.

It comes as the Long Lost Family presenter has taken to using her social media platforms to raise awareness for Menopause Awareness Month.

The star, who is already a fierce advocate for talking openly and honestly about a stage that every woman will go through in her life, has most-recently been posting about her symptoms on Instagram.

Fans also went wild when a young Davina recently popped up in a new Spice Girls documentary, where she was seen auditioning alongside the likes of Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton.
