Declan Donnelly beams as he carries baby son Jack as he jets to Australia for I’m A Celeb

Declan Donnelly was seen beaming as he jetted off to Australia with his family ahead of the start of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The ITV reality show is finally returning to its original filming location Down Under after spending the past two years being filmed in Wales due to the pandemic.

And Dec looked in high spirits as he travelled through the airport alongside his wife and baby son Jack, who the couple welcomed into the world in July.

The presenter, 47, beamed as he travelled with his family, dressing for comfort in a navy blue tracksuit and white trainers, with baby Jack adorably strapped to his chest in a baby carrier.

Wife Ali, 43, was seen walking behind her husband in a comfy black tracksuit, clutching a bag of baby items in one hand.

Ali completed her look with some simple gold jewellery, a pink manicure and a pair of white trainers as the couple travelled together ahead of the show’s start date in early November.

The couple, who met when Ali was working as Ant and Dec’s manager, married in 2015 and also share a daughter called Isla together, born in 2018.

They surprised fans when they announced the birth of their son back in July, as they had kept Ali’s pregnancy a secret.

Taking to social media to confirm the birth of their second child, he wrote: "Shortly before 10am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, a very welcome ray of light."

Dec continued: "He is wonderful and Isla is beyond excited to be a big sister! D x."

Some of the stars of this year’s I’m A Celeb have been pictured arriving ahead of this year’s series, including Dec’s co-star Ant McPartlin, who was snapped alongside his wife Anne-Marie in the Gold Coast, settling into Australian life ahead of the show.

The presenting duo, who are seen parachuting out of a helicopter in the ad for this year’s series, were forced to skip this year’s National Television Awards after contracting coronavirus, although they seem to have made a full recovery ahead of this year’s series.

They have also been joined in Australia by some of the contestants that have been confirmed for this year’s series, including Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, radio presenter Chris Moyles and Love Island star Olivia Attwood.

ITV finally confirmed the start date and time of this year’s series on Wednesday (26 October), revealing that the new series will begin on Sunday November 6 at 9pm.

The show’s official Twitter account shared an image of a sign announcing the news with the caption: “Mark your calendars… the countdown is on!”

The series will kick off two weeks earlier than in 2021, and on the opening show, the campmates will all explain why they have signed up.

Ant and Dec are then poised to set a series of challenges for them to make their way into the jungle camp near the town of Murwillumbah in New South Wales.

Last year's I'm A Celebrity was held in Gwrych Castle in North Wales and was won by Emmerdale star Danny Miller.
