Disney has found their live action Lilo!
The studio has reportedly cast the young actress who will be bringing the beloved Hawaiian character to life in an upcoming live action Lilo & Stitch movie.
THR reports that newcomer Maia Kealoha has landed the coveted role of the young girl in the feature film.

Maia herself is from Hawaii, which is a central trait to have in portraying Lilo in a live action adaptation. (Pictured here is Daveigh Chase, who voiced Lilo in the original animated movie.)
Lilo & Stitch centers on “the friendship formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and an alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction.”
It was previously reported that Dean Fleischer Camp will be directing, and Zach Galifianakis has been cast in a mystery role.
