DOI’s Ben Foden ‘not proud’ of cheating on Una Healey but she and his wife are friends

Ben Foden has candidly opened up on how cheating on his ex-wife Una Healy was "a mistake" he's "not proud of" ahead of his upcoming stint on Dancing On Ice.

The 36 year old split from Una, 40, in 2018 after it was reported he had cheated on the former The Saturdays singer.

Rugby player Ben – who married second wife Jackie Belanoff Smith after two weeks of dating in August 2019 – told Daily Mail's Weekend magazine he "made a mistake, one I'm not proud of."

The publication also says Ben told that he was a "complete mess" for a while.

But the father of three, who shares two children with Una and one with Jackie, claims his wife and ex are now friends.

He said: "Jackie and Una are getting on, so it’s worked out. Like any relationship it takes time, but they chat online.

"Una’s letting the kids stay with us for a month in New York. I’m very proud of where Una and I have come to and I only want the best for her. She’s a great mother.”

Una has also spoken out on the divorce, saying that she was "in hell" as she reflected on their split in September.

Speaking to Fabulous, she said: "When you're in hell, you can't go round it, you have to go through it. It's the only way.

"For the sake of the kids I had to stay strong. Obviously they've seen me upset, and there have been moments where I've just started crying, but both of them would come up and give me a hug or write little notes saying 'I love you' and I knew I had to pull myself out of it.

"Everything is for them. They are the most important thing in my life and I have to guide them now."

She continued: "Divorce is a tough old thing to go through.

"You don't walk down the aisle expecting this to happen. You hope it's going to be forever and you don't marry with any other intention.

"And when it doesn't work out, it's devastating. Totally devastating.

"So that was hard enough, but last summer when he got married again, that was a big shock to me. I was like: 'Woah, what is this?'

"It was something else I had to get my head around. But life goes on, doesn't it?"
