Dr. Jill Biden wore a sunflower mask at the White House to support Ukraine

The national flower of Ukraine is the sunflower. When President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden appeared at a White House event yesterday, Dr. Jill decided to do some “diplomatic dressing” of her own. No, she didn’t cosplay the Ukrainian flag. She wore a mask with a beautiful stitched sunflower on it. I would love to see more of this – sunflowers in fashion, not just flag cosplaying. Although I do love seeing all of the blue and gold! As for Dr. Biden’s black-and-white suit, I can’t find the designer ID, but it’s really great.

The White House event was for Black History Month, and Dr. Biden introduced Vice President Kamala Harris. Dr. Biden made a “joke” and introduced VP Harris as “President Harris.” I’m sure the neckbeards are crying about it but I could not care less.

Going back to the sunflower thing… at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there was a viral video of a Ukrainian woman bitching out some Russian soldiers. She asked them “what the f–k are you doing here” and called them fascists, then she offered them sunflower seeds, saying: “Take these seeds and put them in your pockets, so at least sunflowers will grow when you all lie down here.” Hardcore.

Our hearts are with our troops and our military families, including those who are stationed throughout Europe demonstrating solidarity with our Allies. We are profoundly grateful for your service.
