Dune star Alicia Witt grieving after both parents found dead

Dune star Alicia Witt’s parents have both been found dead in their home.

Alicia confirmed their deaths in a statement after revealing she sent a relative to check on Robert Witt, 87, and Diane Witt, 75, after not hearing from them for several days.

‘I reached out to a cousin who lives close to my parents to check on them,’ she said, according to Yahoo!.

‘Sadly, the outcome was unimaginable. I ask for some privacy at this time to grieve and to wrap my head around this turn of events, and this surreal loss.’

The police arrived at the scene in Worcester, Massachusetts, after the relative called for assistance to check on the couple.

They said the Witts were found dead inside the house and there was no sign of foul play. However, the cause of death isn’t clear.

‘I can confirm that police were dispatched to the residence and discovered a male and a female deceased,’ a Worcester police spokesperson said.

‘There were no signs of foul play. It is under investigation.’

According to reports, the police spokesperson said that there was also no sign that the couple had faced any sort of trauma.

An autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Alicia shot to fame as a child actress after being discovered by David Lynch, who cast her in Dune (1984) and Twin Peaks (1990).

She has made a number of television appearances, including the likes of The Walking Dead, The Sopranos and Orange Is The New Black, and has been described as a musical prodigy as an accomplished pianist, singer, and songwriter.
