EastEnders star Jake Wood joked about his “life outside the square” after he reunited with his former co-star Tamzin Outhwaite.

The Albert Square favourites reunited following his departure from the show three months ago, and Jake shared the smiley snap on Instagram on Tuesday.

The Strictly winner, 50, flashed a cheeky smile to the camera as he caught up with his on-screen love interest showing off his well-groomed beard which he paired with a smart blazer and shirt for the occasion.

Tamzin, 48, who played the role of Mel Owen in the BBC One soap, also shared a collection of shots from her trip to Glasgow including her brief catch up with her former co-star.

The blonde bombshell dressed up for the reunion as she donned a black and white patterned shirt which she accessorised with some gold jewellery and natural makeup.

Tamzin, who hasn't ruled out having a baby with her boyfriend Tom Child, made sure to show off her pearly whites, and she styled her luscious locks in loose waves which perfectly framed her face.

Jake, who previously shared a rare snap of his daughter Amber after watching his final scenes on EastEnders, captioned the lovely photo: “Great bumping into my previous work mucker @glamzin this week.

“So it turns out there is life outside the Square” with two hand up emojis and two cry laughing emojis.

Tamzin commented on the sweet snap: “Definitely lots of life outside of and beyond the square!! So good to catch up.”

Jake and Tamzin worked together on EastEnders for a number of years but really got to know each other once their characters enjoyed a minor fling on the show in 2019.

Tamzin first joined the show back in 1998 which she held until 2002 however the much-loved character made a surprise return to the square in 2018 before she was killed off one year later.

Jake however found a home in Albert square and has been a fan favourite for more than a decade before he made the decision to leave the show in February this year.

Although he may not be on our screens for the time being, fans have been reassured that there is always room for Max Branning in the soap should he want to return in the future.
