EastEnder star Max Bowden's pregnant ex-girlfriend is said to be 'heartbroken' over his alleged romance with co-star Shona McGarty.
Max and Shona, who play Ben Mitchell and Whitney Dean in the hit BBC soap, are said to have been growing close off-screen in recent weeks, reportedly "spending as much time together as they can" during these early days of their relationship.
Max's ex Roisin Buckle, 36, is expecting a baby boy her 27 year old ex and has reportedly been left 'devastated and humiliated' by his romance with Shona, 30.
A source said: “It has been dreadful for Roisin, she feels humiliated and disrespected. She is expecting a baby and although she is a strong woman she feels very let down.
They continued to the Sun: “She never expected Max to move on so quickly. She believed they were on a break, taking time out of their relationship to sort out their differences.
“Having to see him and Shona together has been heartbreaking."
The source added that Roisin found it "incredibly embarrassing" when Max was snapped leaving Shona's home, with the drama leaving her feeling like "she’s at the centre of a real-life EastEnders plot.”
OK! has contacted Max's representative for comment.
Max was been seen leaving Shona's £650,000 home in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire one morning back in May.
A source said at the time: “They spend as much time together as they can.
“Most nights or mornings Max is seen entering or leaving Shona’s home. He wears the same clothes most days.
“They have tried to keep their relationship a secret and they drive into the EastEnders set separately. But anybody who sees them together can see how they feel about each other.”
Roisin and Max went public with their relationship in October last year, after meeting in a pub.
She then discovered she was pregnant in January 2022 and was "over the moon".
The mum-to-be recently began documenting her pregnancy journey on Instagram, launching an account with the handle 'one mum and a baby'.
"Navigating my way through pregnancy, child birth & becoming a first time single mum,: the bio reads. "There’s power in women who stand together."
