EXCLUSIVE: Strictly star Helen Skelton faces fresh heartache as the property firm she founded with ex Richie Myler is threatened with closure
The Property firm Helen Skelton founded with her ex Richie Myler has been threatened with forced closure.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 39, and her recently estranged husband, 32, are facing the forced closure of their business Myler Properties LLP, after it failed to file legally required accounts.
The company – which was set up in January 2020, when they were still together – has been warned of an impending ‘compulsory strike off’ order, which would necessitate it to be shut down.
Helen and Richie have until 6 November to successfully show cause that Myler Properties LLP should not be struck off.

Helen formed the business under her married name with rugby league star Richie, with whom she shared three young children: Ernie, six, Louis, five, and nine-month-old Elsie.
Documents just published show Myler Properties LLP has failed to produce accounts showing the partnership’s income and expenditure, which were due to be lodged in January.
As a result, assets held by the company could be seized and the business could also face a fine of £1,500 for not filing accounts.
Companies House Rules say: ‘Not filing your confirmation statements, annual returns or accounts is a criminal offence – and directors or LLP designated members could be personally fined in the criminal courts.’

In addition to Myler Properties LLP, Helen co-owns a construction company with Richie, Myler Construction Limited, which is still trading after being incorporated in January 2018.
Countryfile presenter Helen also has her own business, Skelton Productions Limited, which channels her TV earnings and is worth almost £350,000.
That business paid a tax bill of £94,000 according to its last available accounts which means it made a profit in excess of £450,000 for the year.
MailOnline has contacted Helen Skelton and and Richie Myler’s representatives for comment.
The estranged couple being warned of an impending ‘compulsory strike off’ order comes after Helen revealed that she refuses to see herself as a victim, and signed onto Strictly to end the year on a ‘high’ amid her divorce.

Family: Helen formed the business under her married name with rugby league star Richie, with whom she shared three young children: Ernie, six, Louis, five, and nine-month-old Elsie
The Countryfile presenter split from husband Richie in April after eight years of marriage and just four months after she welcomed the couple’s third child.
While Helen is now living back at her parents’ home with children Ernie, six, Louis, five, and nine-month-old Elsie, Richie is in a relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, 32, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Helen refused to comment on Richie’s new relationship out of respect for all involved, noting: ‘You cannot have any opinion on anyone else’s life until you’ve walked in those shoes. And my family are happy, my kids are happy, and that’s all ultimately that matters.’
She explained that she agreed to take part on Strictly to cap off the year on a positive note, claiming: ‘I think it would have been disrespectful for me to have not done Strictly. For my family, who need to see me have a great time. It’s not just for me.’

Helen went on: ‘I don’t see myself as a victim, no, because I mean, look… There are a lot of people who have been in my situation who haven’t been given the opportunities that I’ve got.’
Despite this, she admitted that she still gets frustrated just like anyone else, noting: ‘Don’t get me wrong, I have my days when I’m p***ed off.’
The TV star is now happily single while Richie’s relationship with Stephanie came to light in May, days after it was announced that his eight-year marriage to Helen was over.
Helen was said to feel ‘bewildered’ by the breakdown of her marriage, with a source close to the couple telling MailOnline: ‘Helen is absolutely devastated.’
They continued: ‘Now she is contemplating life without him while he has moved on with his new partner.’

Richie and Helen are maintaining ‘cordial relations’ and Helen was reportedly told of his baby news before his pregnant girlfriend Stephanie announced it publicly on social media.
A source told The Sun that Stephanie and Richie are ‘thrilled’ to be expecting their first child, just six months after their relationship came to light.
They added: ‘Stephanie and Richie are obviously thrilled. They have moved very quickly but are extremely happy together.
‘The timing of the pregnancy may raise a few eyebrows though. It is obviously such a huge step, and one made remarkably quickly off the back of Helen and Richie’s eight-year marriage ending.
‘But Richie and Helen maintain cordial relations, and in a way the timing is actually perfect as Helen is so happy at the moment.’
The source added that Helen is ‘far too busy’ focusing on her training and rehearsals for Strictly.
