Emily Ratajkowski takes a leaf out of Sinitta’s book by wearing a plant as a top

Emily Ratajkowski has donned an ultra bold outfit that featured a plant leaf for a top as she made an appearance in Paris for the Loewe fashion show.

Modelling for the Courreges Paris Fashion Week show, the 31 year old model and author wore a striking backless top shaped like an anthurium.

With splashes of pink and bright emerald green, the brunette beauty paired it with baggy, low-waisted black trousers.

The star, who is rumoured to be dating Eric Andre, opted for a nude lip and her hair in a relaxed updo as she took hold of the crowds on the cobbled streets.

The outfit is from Loewe’s spring/summer 2023 collection, which debuted last September in Paris, and is just one of many unusual designs set to take the fashion world by storm.

But many fans may instantly be transported back to singer Sinitta's iconic palm leaf outfit, which she donned back in 2009.

The So Macho '80s icon wore the infamous look on The X Factor. It featured two large palm leaves covering her bust, with two more hiding her modesty below.

At the time, the singer admitted she'd found the leaves in Simon's garden and dressed up in the "outfit" to play a joke on her ex.

Flashforward over a decade, and Emily rocked a similar look for Loewe's new range, which has been spearheaded by Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson.

The talented designer was also responsible for Rihanna’s all-red ensemble at the Super Bowl half-time show on 12 February.

Emily, who launched her writing career with the essay collection My Body and in March 2021, was joined by other famous faces at the show.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell wore quirky shoes covered in deflated balloons and Alexa Chung, actor Jamie Dornan, athlete Dina Asher-Smith and singer Kacey Musgraves also appeared at the show.

Naomi was fresh off the runway herself, having worn a series of black gowns on the Off-White catwalk on Thursday.

Celebrity fans of Loewe were treated to another exciting show for the autumn/winter collection.

The white show space was dotted with giant colourful cubes of confetti by Italian artist Lara Favaretto.

The brand said on Instagram: “Exploring a space between monument and ruin, Favaretto often uses materials that are volatile or fragile to create works that embrace the inevitability of collapse.

"Each cube is made from solid confetti — without glue or armatures — compressed in a labour-intensive process over several hours by teams of people.”
