Emma Roberts’ New Baby Just Made His Instagram Debut

In December 2020, TMZ reported that Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund welcomed their first child, a baby boy. Neither actor confirmed the news to the outlet, but the website stated that they named their son Rhodes. The news came months after Roberts first confirmed the pregnancy in August 2020 via Instagram. The post three photos that she captioned, “Me….. and my two favorite guys,” both announced her pregnancy and confirmed that the baby would be a boy.

Since then, she’s shared plenty of bump photos on social media, including pictures from her baby shower and her Cosmopolitan cover shoot. This marked a milestone for her, both personally and professionally, since she was the first pregnant woman to grace the magazine’s cover. Considering that Roberts documented her pregnancy on Instagram, it was only fitting that her son made his worldwide debut on her page. Keep on scrolling to see the cute snap!

Emma Roberts revealed her son's full name

On Jan. 12, 2021, Emma Roberts posted an adorable photo of herself holding her son outside in the sunshine. The mother/son duo’s fashion was on point, with both rocking orange outfits. She even included a matching orange heart emoji in her Instagram caption. Talk about a sweet post!

Along with the photo, the American Horror Story actor wrote, “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right.” She described her and Garrett Hedlund’s son as their “bright light” before revealing that they named the baby Rhodes Robert Hedlund. Presumably, the “Robert” is a nod to her last name, but the reason behind choosing “Rhodes” hasn’t been revealed.

The picture isn’t a close-up shot, and Rhodes’ head is turned away from the camera, but, hopefully, the Holidate star will share more photos of the baby soon, so her fans and followers can get a glimpse at his face.
