Emotional Kourtney Kardashian ‘stops IVF’ with Travis Barker: ‘It was a lot’

An emotional Kourtney Kardashian has opened up on how she "stopped" her IVF journey as she and husband Travis Barker try to have a baby.

The eldest of the Kardashian sisters, 43, revealed she and the Blink-182 drummer, 46, took a break from the treatment to focus on their wedding earlier this year.

Kourtney, who shares three children with her ex Scott Disick, told WSJ Magazine: "We started an IVF journey, but I stopped. It was a lot.

"I took a break to just focus on our wedding and getting married."

The couple unofficially eloped in Las Vegas in April then got legally married with modest courthouse nuptials in California on 15 May, before a lavish wedding ceremony with guests in Italy a week later.

Kourtney added they are still deciding whether any of the "hours and hours of footage" from their nuptials will feature on Disney+ reality series, The Kardashians.

Her comments come as the couple were spotted stepping out in black vinyl outfits at the Vogue World show at New York Fashion Week on Monday.

Kourtney wore a short, tight fitting black velvet dress, heeled leather boots and dark sunglasses.

Her husband rocked a vinyl trench coat over a sleeveless white shirt with a red sequined "blood-splatter" on his chest, completing the look with heavy-duty combat boots and shades.

The couple have been open about their desire to welcome a child together and have documented their difficult fertility journey on The Kardashians.

Before their wedding, Kourtney had revealed their latest round of IVF had been unsuccessful.

In an episode of the reality show, the couple visited a fertility clinic where Kourtney explained to the camera that her "egg retrieval didn't go the way that we would've hoped".

The mum-of-three explained: "He was able to retrieve the egg but it didn't make it to the embryo stage."

But they later got some encouraging news at another appointment, ensuring hope wasn't lost, with Kourtney speaking about how she and Travis try their best to "stay in the moment".

Kourtney and Travis have also tried a range of alternative and unusual treatments in hope of increasing the chances of falling pregnant, including a vaginal steam and a no-sex cleanse.

On another episode of the Disney+ series, the couple try a Panchakarma cleanse, with Kourtney explaining how it would remove "toxins in our tissue".

However, the unique method has not been scientifically validated and some nutritionists believe it could potentially be dangerous.
