“It’s the end of an era,” she ended her post alongside a broken heart emoji.
Following Linda’s tweet, the star was soon inundated with messages of support from her fans.
Dawn Avis wrote: “Sorry to hear your sad news, looks like you’ve got such a lovely big family, look after each other xx.”
Janet Walker commented: “Teresa was such a beautiful lady inside & out, she was very much loved & will be terribly missed xxx.”

The official Nolan Twitter account also broke the news, revealing that the Nolan sister’s beloved aunt had died following a battle with skin cancer.
They told their 7,000 followers: “Yesterday, our Auntie Teresa peacefully passed away, after living with incurable skin cancer for many years.
“Teresa was the backbone of our family, the glue that held us together and the only person from our parents’ generation left.
“Rest In Peace, Auntie,” it finished.
Nolan sisters Denise, Maureen, Anne and Coleen also retweeted the sad news.
The sisters have previously spoken about their own experiences of cancer at length.
They lost their sister Bernie to breast cancer in 2013 at the age of 52.
Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but despite being told it was stage three, she was given the all-clear a year later.
However, in 2016 she was told that it had spread to her hip and four years later it had moved to her liver.
Anne was also diagnosed with the disease in 2000 and was told in 2020 that it had returned.
After treatment, it is now in remission and at present she is cancer-free.
