Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier spoilers below.
Those whispers of Chris Evans making a surprise appearance in Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are heating up again–this time due to some curious comments from one cast member.
While Evans technically hasn’t appeared in the Disney+ series, the aura of Steve Rogers hangs over each episode, whether it’s through Sam and Bucky trying to carry on their friend’s legacy or the so-called new Captain America struggling to live up to his predecessor.
New Cap John Walker is now technically a super soldier like Steve, but he’s also hot-headed and vengeful–nothing like the former Avenger. The show seems to be practically setting the stage every passing week for a confrontation between the two Caps.
During a recent appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Screen Time, Russell addressed whether he’d actually ever met Chris Evans in a cagey way.
“Have I ever met Chris Evans? I think I have,” he answered. “I don’t think I’ve shook his hand, but I think I’ve walked by him somewhere and made eye contact.
“That counts as being a stalker, that doesn’t count as meeting anybody.”
But then, Russell seemingly dropped a teaser without any prompting about whether John Walker and Steve Rogers would meet somehow.
