Love Island ’s Will Young has revealed his Aussie-inspired hair transformation since touching down in Australia with girlfriend, Jessie Wynter.
Sharing a hilarious video from the hair salon, with Jessie narrating the process, Will penned the caption: “MULLET UPDATE – since coming to Aus, I promised Jessie I’d grow a mullet. We are a few weeks in and it’s getting there!! By the end of the trip we will be laughing!!!”
The clip then showed the 'before' look, with Will having spent the past few weeks growing out his hair, before the mullet was cut in by the hairdresser, followed by a quick shampoo and the final reveal.
Fans were quick to share their thoughts in the comments, with one writing: “Mullet era is gonna be iconic !!”
Another added: “Loving the micro mullet.”
A third commented: “Go the Aussie mullet you’ll be fitting in to our way of life in no time.”
Since falling for each other earlier this year during the Winter Love Island series, farmer Will, 23, and Aussie Jessie, 26, have been going from strength to strength and Will has recently been spending time with Jessie’s loved ones Down Under.
In a previous conversation with OK!, Jessie revealed her Aussie loved ones "absolutely adore" Will, who's been initiating phone calls with her brothers and making a real effort to connect.
"It’s so crazy. I’m from Australia, he’s from the UK, but we just still can’t believe how perfectly matched we are," Jessie added.
"When you look at our family and our family dynamics, we’re very similar people coming from very similar areas, even though it’s on the other side of the world."
Jessie took to Instagram to share the exciting news and announced to her fans that they are both going to Australia, as her visa in the UK comes to an end.
The trip is Jessie's first since finding love in the villa with Will as a surprise addition, booking his one-way ticket to Australia after being unsure if he would be able to make it. Since touching down last month the couple have been documenting their trip on Instagram sharing heartfelt posts of what they've been up to so far.
They started the trip by visiting Jessie's nan's house before meeting some more of the family. Will added that he also tried his first Australian coffee and first Yo-chi which were "both amazing". After meeting Jessie's sister and taking in the sights of Australia, they enjoyed a family dinner with Will boasting that he had surprised his girlfriend's "nan nan" with some flowers.
Jessie also shared on Instagram: "we trulyyy welcomed Will to Aussie culture by getting him to do his first shoey" – an Australian slang for having a celebratory drink out of a shoe – an Australian tradition.
