Ferne McCann celebrates ‘laughing again’ after ‘worst time’ – amid Sam and Billie fallout

Ferne McCann has revealed she's been working to get back to her "normal self" and "feeling fun again" after a difficult few months which saw her fallout with longterm friends Billie Shepherd and Sam Faiers.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 32, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a series of snaps from a recent trip to Paris alongside a lengthy caption where she reflected on the past few months.

Ferne revealed she'd told her fiancé Lorri Haines, 31, that she didn't know if she was "ever going to feel fun again" a few months ago, as she couldn't "see past this cloud".

The mum-of-one began by writing: "A few months ago I said to Lorri & my close ones I don’t know if I’m ever going to feel fun again. To laugh again and to feel back to my normal self."

She continued: "I just couldn’t see past this cloud. I’ve realised that it takes time. Time to heal & to let the storm pass, it’s not going to happen over night.

"Spending quality time with my closest ones in Paris and then returning home to my baby girl & fiancé this weekend has left me feeling a huge sense on contentment. It was only for one night but it was needed. Oh to laugh again…it really is the best remedy," with a red heart emoji.

Ferne signed off by adding a motivational message for her followers. She wrote: "So believe me if you’re going through the worst time where you can’t see a time where you will ever smile again let alone laugh. I promise you this time will pass."

Ferne's recent post comes after her friendship with fellow ex-TOWIE stars Billie, 33, and Sam, 32, came to an end in 2022 after voice notes were leaked allegedly featuring Ferne’s voice talking disparagingly about the sisters.

A source close to Ferne recently told OK! that she is understandably finding it difficult not having her former friends and co-stars Billie and Sam in her life, and was left feeling "left out" after not being involved in Billie's recent 33rd birthday celebrations.

"Ferne is feeling quite isolated and left out," they told us. "She’s sad she missed out on Billie’s birthday. It’s clear she’s reflecting on things with her Billie and Sam."

The insider continued, saying: "Ferne is doing well, she’s got her show with ITV and she can’t wait to be a mum again.

"It’s a happy time for her and Lorri and it’s a really great time for her but she’s understandably going to be feeling sad as she’s missing out on the things she would normally be involved in with the girls."
