‘Forgotten’ step-sister of Prince William and Prince Harry was at the Queen’s funeral

Among the lesser known Royal relatives at the Queen's state funeral service was Prince William and Prince Harry's step-sister.

Laura Lopes, 44, is the daughter of the new Queen Consort, Camilla, and her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles.

This makes her King Charles' step-daughter and the step-sister of William and Harry.

The art curator and her food writer brother Tom Parker-Bowles, 47, both made a rare appearance alongside the Royal Family at the service on Monday, as they tend to stay away from the limelight.

They were both there to support Camilla as she was installed as an honorary Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter in June.

Laura shares a close bond with her mum, but generally lives a very private life away from her royal connections.

She also attended the weddings of both William and Harry, and they went to hers in 2006 when she married Harry Lopes at St Cyriac's Church in Wiltshire.

Laura wore a dress by Anna Valentine, who designed her mother's outfit for her wedding to the Charles in 2005.

The wedding reception was held at Ray Mill, the nearby estate that belongs to Camilla.

Laura and her chartered accountant husband, also 44, who is a member of the Astor family, share three children together: Eliza, 14, and 12 year old twin boys Gus and Louis.

Eliza was a bridesmaid at Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011.

Mum-of-three Laura previously worked as Tatler's motoring correspondent in 2001, before going on to manage The Space Gallery in London.

She then became a co-founding partner and director of London's Eleven Gallery in 2005.

The Queen Consort was also supported by her five grandchildren at the funeral.

Tom's children Lola, 14, and Freddy, 12, along with Laura's three kids, attended to pay their respects and say goodbye to their step great grandmother.

Uniquely, Charles is not only Tom's step-father but also his god father.

Camilla's grandchildren will not be bestowed with royal titles, as the Queen Consort is royal by marriage rather than blood.

They were joined at the service by other young members of the family, including Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven.

However, George and Charlotte's four year old brother Prince Louis did not attend.

The service was attended by around 2,000 people, with foreign royals and UK and foreign leaders among the guests.
