Gareth Gates posted a sweet shot of his daughter Missy on Tuesday in celebration of International Women’s Day as he called her his “world”.
The 37 year old shared a boomerang of himself kissing his 12 year old daughter tenderly on the forehead on Instagram Stories as the pre teen was seen staring and smiling as she hugged her dad.
Gareth’s tribute photo comes months after the singer shared another rare snap of daughter Missy on Instagram, telling followers: “It’s not often I post photos of my little girl – she’s growing so up fast! Daddy loves you”.
The loving dad had previously said that he wished to keep his daughter away from the public eye and made it his biggest intention after breaking up with Missy’s mum Suzanne Mole after 10 years of marriage.
“Despite our efforts over the past three years to make our marriage work, sadly Suzanne and I have decided to separate,” Gareth said in a statement at the time.
"Whilst we have grown apart, we love and cherish our wonderful daughter Missy and together we will prioritise her happy upbringing."
The singer also gave tribute to the other special women in his life alongside his daughter Missy as he continued to celebrate International Women’s Day, posting a photo of himself with his mother Wendy Gates on holiday as well as his sisters.
Gareth also shared on Instagram Stories a romantic shot of himself with girlfriend Chloe McLennan, whom he has been in a relationship with for nearly two years.
The couple are seen in the photo gazing into each other’s eyes while dressed sophisticatedly, with Gareth pictured wearing a sleek black tuxedo while Chloe is wearing a metallic floor-length gown.
The performer’s appreciation posts come a month after he acknowledged the 20th anniversary of Pop Idol, in which he appeared and came second place to winner of the first series Will Young.
“20 YEARS today, I became the UK’s biggest Loser!” Gareth captioned on Instagram.
"How has it been 20 years? It feels like yesterday I was stood on that stage with @willyoungofficial & @antanddec waiting for the results to come through.
"I owe everything to Pop Idol. Yes I worked hard on music well before going on the show (learning to play instruments and sing from the age of 8) but would a shy kid with a stammer from Bradford have made it in the music business without that platform and exposure? Probably not.
"It’s a good job @simoncowell liked me!
"Thank you to all that voted and for giving me the beautifully blessed life I still live today."
